This is an invitation to join the Grant Fellowship of Christian Athletes for Fields of Faith on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. There will be a message and time of worship from 6-7 p.m. on the Grant football field. A hot dog meal will be served at 5:30 for students and families to connect beforehand. Fields of Faith is for anyone in the community, but is especially geared toward middle and high school students and their families.

A moment to refocus on our mission to go make disciples because we know our time on earth is short. And if Jesus were to come back in our lifetime, wouldn’t we want to have done everything in our power to reach every person on earth? For two days, let's rediscover who we are in Christ and then share it with the world!

February 7 through April 17, we are doing a 6 session video study, titled "What on Earth Am I Here For?" This study is based on "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. We meet at the church every other week.

This month’s guest speaker is Scott Faulkner.
Born in Kansas City in 1958 to Ken and Joan Faulkner, moving to the Detroit area in 1966 and on to Rockford in 1972. He has three brothers scattered around Michigan and Washington State. His wife Robbin owns the River Stop Café in downtown Newaygo, and daughter Carmen is now the General Manager at the Café.
Scott and Robbin have been residents of Newaygo for 34 years, and he has been active in the Newaygo business community for 25+ years. Scott was Founder and Chief Executive Officer of a software company, InterFix, in Atlanta GA, a company that was recognized internationally for a US patented knowledge base application for medical transcription and coding professionals. His software is in use by over 20,000 medical data specialists in 20 countries around the world.
Scott is a past Chairman of the River Country Chamber of Commerce, past Chairman of the Newaygo Principal Shopping District and the TIFA Board in the City of Newaygo, and is on the Board of the Newaygo Economic Development Organization. Scott was a three term Board Member of Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial, and also was instrumental in starting and funding the Dragon Trail on Hardy Pond.
Six years ago, after surviving throat cancer, Scott worked for the City of Newaygo for three years in Economic Development, and brought to life the city’s Master Plan, Branding Strategy, the Newaygo County Heritage Museum project, and Christian Healthcare Centers. Scott and Robbin attend Calvary Church in Grand Rapids, and he currently leads a Bible study in Croton every two weeks. Scott is currently the Executive Director for the Muskegon River Watershed Assembly.
Scott is also a very active performing musician with his daughter around west Michigan, and now in the Florida Keys, and enjoys mountain biking the Dragon, and contributing to, and living in Newaygo county and our Great State of Michigan.
Scott has been a Born-again Christian since October 13, 2008, at 10:42 AM PST.
