This month’s guest speaker is Bruce Oosterhouse.

Bruce is a retired licensed professional counselor in the State of Michigan. He served at Kenowa Hills High School for 36 years.  He coached High School football for 18 years, JV baseball for 3 years, Varsity baseball for 36 years, and served 33 years as an MHSAA Basketball Official.

 He was named the City of Walker “Educator of the Year”; received the American Baseball Coaches Association Leadership Award, West Michigan Counseling Association Award, MHSAA Appreciation Award for 30 years of service as a basketball official; inducted into the Kenowa Hills High School Hall of Fame and the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame; Coached in the East-West High School All-Star Baseball Game; Recognized for 638 wins in High School baseball; and the Kenowa Hills High School baseball filed is named the Oosterhouse-Pullen Field.

Bruce has spoken to several professional baseball teams and more than 40 college and professional football teams. He lives in Rockford with his wife Mary and together, they have five children and fifteen grandchildren.
